Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with over 10 years of experience to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for various business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand their goals, processes, and requirements.
- Conducting workshops and interviews to gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases.
- Analyzing and translating business requirements into clear and concise user stories, process flows, and system diagrams.
- Collaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements and objectives.
- Facilitating meetings and discussions between business stakeholders and technical teams to resolve issues and drive decisions.
- Conducting feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed changes and enhancements.
- Participating in the design and evaluation of business processes and workflows.
- Providing input into the development of project plans and timelines.
- Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinating implementation activities.
- Providing post-implementation support and conducting post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects or software development projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
- Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts for data analysis.
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
