Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with over 12 years of experience to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver insightful dashboards and data visualizations.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders and translating them into technical specifications.
- Building data models and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability in Power BI.
- Optimizing performance of Power BI dashboards and reports for maximum efficiency.
- Integrating Power BI with other data sources and platforms to create holistic BI solutions.
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to Power BI solutions, data mappings, and best practices.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior developers in Power BI development techniques.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
- Proven proficiency in Power BI including DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server.
- Strong experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex Power BI solutions from end-to-end.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and present insights effectively through visualizations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications.
- Experience with Azure Data Platform services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory).
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and techniques (Machine Learning, AI).
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
