Job Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with over 14 years of experience to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure on the Azure cloud platform. You will collaborate closely with development teams to automate and streamline the software delivery process.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (formerly known as Visual Studio Team Services or VSTS).
- Automating infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Configuring and managing Azure resources and services (e.g., Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service).
- Implementing and managing source code repositories, branching strategies, and code merging in Azure Repos.
- Monitoring and optimizing Azure DevOps pipelines for performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborating with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues.
- Implementing best practices for software configuration management and version control.
- Ensuring compliance with security and governance policies in Azure environments.
- Providing technical guidance and support to development and operations teams.
- Keeping up-to-date with Azure DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in IT operations, software development, or DevOps roles.
- Strong proficiency in Azure cloud platform services and Azure DevOps tools (Azure Pipelines, Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Artifacts).
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration tools (Azure Kubernetes Service, AKS).
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.
