Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with over 10 years of proven expertise to join our team in Florida. As a Power BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that empower data-driven decision-making across our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements and data visualization best practices.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Integrate various data sources and perform data transformation and modeling to support analytics initiatives.
- Implement security and data governance best practices within Power BI solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure smooth operation.
- Stay updated with Power BI latest features, tools, and best practices, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and usability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and M Query.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema) and ETL processes.
- Experience in integrating Power BI with different data sources (SQL Server, Excel, Azure, etc.).
- Knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications.
- Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView, etc.).
- Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, etc.).
- Experience in Agile methodologies and working within DevOps environments.
