Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior QA Automation Engineer with over 12 years of experience to join our team in Houston, Texas. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated test frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test automation strategies and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, performance issues, and regressions.
  • Work closely with developers and product managers to understand application functionality, identify edge cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation test suites to keep pace with application changes and updates.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members on test automation best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or similar.
  • Experience with programming languages used in automation testing (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) and scripting languages.
  • Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications related to software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Experience with mobile testing frameworks and tools (Appium, XCTest, Espresso).
